Why can I only see one hard drive in Windows, when I know there is a second hard drive.

For devices with multiple hard drives only one hard drive is often displayed. The reason for this is that the further drives are still to be initialized.

This you can perform the following:

In the Control Panel go to Administrative Tools, then enter Computer Management. Select Storage, then disk management.

In this screen you can see the installed hard drives - a blue bar next to the device means it's working, and black means it is not initialized.

Right-click on the uninitialized disk and select 'initialize disk'.
