What is a HDD Caddy?
Posted by on 27 August 2014 12:06 PM

A HDD Caddy is a tool that adapts the bay where an optical drive (DVD or Blu-Ray drive) would go into an extra port for an additional storage drive (HDD or SSD).

These are often included as the default choice for the optical drive bay as they are less expensive than a DVD drive.

If you would like to include an additional storage drive with your laptop in the HDD Caddy, please send us a message and we can ammend your order to add the drive of your choice (as we are unable to make this an option on the configuration screen).

Choosing to have a DVD or Blu-Ray drive instead of a caddy will not affect the storage drives you have picked in the configuration screen.
